The final days of British forces in Iraq

Our Iraq Inquiry blogger takes us through the end of a busy week for the inquiry.

Top of the morning to you. A tiny session-ette today – evidence from Major General Graham Binns, General Officer Commanding of the Multi-National Division in South East Iraq from Aug 2007 to Feb 2008.

He’ll take us through the final days of the UK presence in the south of Iraq, bar the tiny contingent who still remain patrolling oil installations and training Iraqi army officers.

Today was the deadline by the way for postal applications to attend Tony Blair’s evidence in person. I think the actual ‘lottery’ takes place on Monday so you should hear later next week if you’ve been lucky.
