Now, a make or break moment for the Golden Globes – a ceremony that was, just 12 months ago, considered so toxic it couldn’t even be televised.

After a row over racism and diversity last year’s event was cancelled, while the organisers promised to change things for the better.

Last night, the red carpet was back, but was Hollywood ready to forgive?
