It is now the case that in the United States, the biggest killer of children is guns. Not cars or cancer. And when it comes to school shootings, the US leads the world.

In the ten years since 26 people were shot dead in the Sandy Hook massacre – there have been another 242 school shootings, including this week’s horror in Texas.
