The other Amazon forest fire that no-one is talking about

While the fires in the Brazilian Amazon have made headlines across the world for the past weeks, in neighbouring Bolivia fires have also been raging.

More than two million hectares of rainforest in Bolivia have recently been lost to wildfires, an area almost the size of Wales.

Authorities say they have been trying to contain the fires, but there is a question mark over how committed President Evo Morales’s government is to tackling the emergency.
