The painter paying tribute to the female victims of male violence

When Labour MP Jess Phillips marked International Women’s Day by reading out the names of women killed by men last year, it struck a chord in the wake of Sarah Everard’s murder.

For painter, Henny Beaumont, that parliamentary moment provided artistic inspiration.

She decided to honour those 118 women by painting their portraits.

We went to her studio to take a look.
