The pandemic has hit disabled families’ wallets, survey finds

For the families of a child living with a disability, the pandemic has presented a disproportionately high number of dangers, restrictions and almost constant worry.

But the burden of the pandemic hasn’t just been emotional, it’s also been financial.

A new survey by the charity Contact shows many families are going into debt or falling into poverty, and struggling to pay for basics including food and heating.

We met some of those families affected.
