Ever wondered what sports journalists do when they cease their unrelenting pursuit of Olympic truth? They sit at desks, they eat food and they unwind in a place called the “quiet room”.
The main press centre at the Olympic Park: journalists from all over the world, gathered under one roof to speak truth unto nations.
After monstering their colleagues at the morning press conference, they can repair to the 4,000-seat restaurant to gorge themselves on healthy food.
And if things get tired and emotional, there’s always the “quiet room”. All in a day’s work.
