The renters unions fighting landlords for tenants’ rights

Buying a home can seem seem like a distant dream for many with the average house priced at over seven times the average salary.

This has led to a booming rental market with a fifth of households now living in private rented accommodation.

Now tenants have started to come together to campaign for better rights – and some believe their voice will help sway the election result.
