‘There is no safe place in Gaza’, says aid worker and filmmaker Yousef Hammash from Khan Younis

The Israel Defence Forces have released a map dividing the Gaza strip into hundreds of small blocks. Each block is numbered to help Palestinian civilians – they say – to identify areas that are active combat zones.

The aid worker and filmmaker, Yousef Hammash, is in Khan Younis where eastern parts of the city have been declared a “dangerous battle zone” by the IDF. They have now asked residents to flee further south.
