‘There’s now hope to get our country back’, says Syrian filmmaker

Syrian film-maker Waad Al Kateab reported for Channel 4 News from inside Aleppo, before she was forced to flee in December 2016.

Her Oscar nominated film, For Sama, told the story of how she kept her family alive during five years of an uprising, and their life under siege.
