Theresa May visits Salisbury as war of words escalates

The war of words between the UK and Russia has escalated as the Prime Minister has been here in Salisbury to see for herself the aftermath of what the UK, France, Germany and the US say is the ‘first offensive use of a nerve agent in Europe since World War 2’.

The Russians described her claim that Moscow was behind the attack as ‘insane’. President Putin said his government would retaliate ‘soon’ over the expulsion of Russian diplomats.
