Third time lucky for presidential debate – with microphones turned off

Their first presidential debate was a food fight. Their second debate didn’t happen because President Trump was diagnosed with Covid.

Tonight is third time lucky: a last chance to see President Trump and his Democratic rival Joe Biden face off in a debate – a 90 minute encounter at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.

What might allow it to become an actual debate is that the microphones are muted for the candidate whose turn it is to listen. That alone speaks volumes.
