Thomas Cashman sentenced to life in prison for murder of Olivia Pratt-Korbel

The man who killed nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel has been jailed for life, with a minimum of 42 years.

Thomas Cashman refused to appear at Manchester Crown Court for the hearing, as the judge said the killing had shocked not only Liverpool, but the entire nation.

Some members of the jury were in tears as Olivia’s mother described the horrific events of that night, calling it her “living nightmare”.
