Thousands displaced as Cyclone Batsirai hits Madagascar

At least 20 people have been killed and tens of thousands displaced from their homes after Madagascar was hit by a second powerful storm in two weeks.

Officials said entire villages were swept away as Cyclone Batsirai slammed into the island’s east coast, and they’re now trying to work out exactly how much damage has been caused.
