Thousands join pro-Palestine march in London ahead of October 7th anniversary

In the UK, tens of thousands of protesters have marched through central London, demanding a ceasefire in Gaza and an end to the violence in Lebanon.

It was one of many such demonstrations around the world, ahead of the anniversary of the October 7th attacks in Israel. The march was largely peaceful – though other protesters waving Israeli flags along the route did lead to some tension, and 17 people were arrested. Ria Chatterjee was there.
