Thousands of families in England prepare for return to school

The Government has insisted that schools in England will stay open as part of the roadmap out of lockdown – as the Education Secretary said they wanted to ensure a cautious, but irreversible approach when pupils return to classrooms tomorrow.

It means staff will face a huge challenge over issues like mass testing and masks – as well as making up for lost learning.
