Thousands of Tesco staff to lose their jobs as stores close

The supermarket giant Tesco says around 4,500 staff at their Metro stores around the country are to lose their jobs in the company’s latest round of redundancies.

Tesco said it would be changing the way the stores were run in a “challenging retail environment”.
