Three die after eating sandwiches infected with listeria

Public Health England has launched an investigation after three hospital patients died in a listeria outbreak linked to pre-packaged sandwiches.

A total of six seriously ill patients were found to have the infection, and those who died were at hospitals in Manchester and Liverpool.
