Three-quarters of UK adults receive at least one Covid jab

More than three quarters of all UK adults have now had their first Covid jab, although Boris Johnson has urged caution, saying we still need to work out the extent to which the vaccination programme has protected enough of us against a new surge. More than 4,000 new daily cases were reported today, but the prime minister said nothing in the data at the moment suggested that lifting all of England’s restrictions should be delayed.
