The acclaimed British actor Sir John Hurt has died at the age of 77. From a career defining role in The Naked Civil Servant as Quentin Crisp, Hurt worked prolifically throughout his life – his rich rasping voice and versatility securing him roles in Hollywood blockbusters and distinguished work in art house films.
