Welcome rainfall in the right places

The week ahead looks like following on from last week, in that another mild spell of weather is on the cards. Temperatures will be in the range of 10-15C by day, with little chance of any frost at night.
After yesterday’s remarkable warmth for February, with many parts of England and north east Wales reaching 15-18C, this weekend will be a little bit cooler.
At the end of last week, I highlighted that spring-like warmth was likely across some parts of the UK this week.
After a temporary return to colder weather during the weekend, the mild weather is set to make a return for the week ahead.
Since last week’s cold weather, this week has seen a warming trend, with much milder conditions and a thaw of lying snow.
