Toxic Delhi smog: ‘People are being left to die’ says journalist Sidharth Pandey

Authorities in India have restricted private vehicles on the roads of New Delhi in an effort to tackle a toxic smog which is enveloping the city.

The air quality index for the capital today was measured at about nine times the recommended maximum.

The state government has started emergency control measures and has ordered the closure of schools.
