In the United States, leading Democrats have emerged from a meeting with President Trump aimed at ending the partial government shutdown, saying he’d threatened to keep it going for “months or even years.” It comes after one newly-elected Democrat used a profanity while calling for the President to be impeached. Whatever happened to the season of good cheer and forgiveness? Oh wait, it never happened.
