Russia’s former President Mikhail Gorbachev has said Donald Trump is making a ‘mistake’ after the US President announced plans to abandon a key nuclear weapons treaty originally signed in 1987.
Mr Trump claimed Moscow had not honoured the agreement so the US would pull out. Russian officials have denounced the move with one saying it meant “mankind is facing full chaos in the nuclear weapons sphere”. Simon Israel reports.
