Twitter has declared it will ban all political advertising, piling the pressure on Facebook to do the same – a move its boss Mark Zuckerberg has resisted.

Tonight the Electoral Commission has told this programme they’re “disappointed and concerned” that the UK’s laws on digital campaigning haven’t been updated, even though they made recommendations more than two years ago.
