Two arrested over Glasgow schoolgirl bus rape

Two men are arrested in connection with the alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl on a bus in Scotland.

The schoolgirl was travelling with a friend, also 14, but had gone to the top deck where she was allegedly attacked. The girls were leaving the Silverburn shopping centre in Pollok, Glasgow, at about 10.30pm on Friday March 22.

The girl’s friend raised the alarm with other passengers downstairs after checking the upper tier. Other passengers are said to have waited with the girls until they got another bus home and police were contacted.

Police confirmed two men were arrested in connection with the incident are 22 years old and will appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.

They said the arrest follows an appeal for information and witnesses following the incident; “The media and the public are thanked for their assistance with this appeal.”
