Two large fires converge on West Pennine Moors

Firefighters have declared a major incident on the west Pennine moors – after two large moorland fires converged. More than 80 firefighters have been redeployed to tackle the fires on Winter Hill and Scout Road, near Bolton – and people are being urged to stay away.
