UK and US halt aid to UN agency over Israeli allegations staff helped Hamas on Oct 7

Despite the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the UK has joined the United States in pausing its funding for the UN’s refugee agency there.

A growing number of countries have suspended their support, after the agency said it was investigating the possible involvement of its own staff in the October the 7th attacks on Israel.

In the meantime, there’s been no let up in the fighting inside the Palestinian territory.
