UK coronavirus hospital deaths rise by 563 in a day, as government urged to increase testing

Two thousand frontline staff in NHS England have been tested for coronavirus.

Now, under increasing pressure to get more NHS workers back into wards, the government insisted that increasing test capacity was its “top priority”.

And there was a promise that within weeks there would be capacity to test hundreds of thousands more.
