UK turns to warm banks amid cold weather and cost of living crisis

Between the cold weather, a cost of living crisis and soaring energy bills – families have been forced to make tough choices and sacrifices this Christmas.

But thanks to donations and charity funding – some communities have created safe spaces for vulnerable people. We’ve taken a look inside three of Britain’s warm spaces in Barnsley and Gateshead.
