UK warns Russia with ‘unprecedented’ sanctions if they invade Ukraine

The Foreign Secretary has announced what she called an “unprecedented” raft of sanctions targeting people and businesses linked to the Kremlin – warning Moscow that invading Ukraine would be met with “massive consequences for Russia’s interests and economy”.

Liz Truss also said the UK was considering deploying more forces to Eastern Europe including jets, warships and military specialists.
