Rishi Sunak has warned that Britain and the United States will not hesitate to take further action against Houthi rebels – to protect against attacks on commercial shipping in the Red Sea.

The prime minister said the UK was not seeking confrontation, but had acted in self defence. And he said that new sanctions to target the financial resources used by the Houthis for their attacks, would be announced in the coming days.
