Ukraine crisis: Johnson says Russian invasion would be ‘disastrous’

Boris Johnson warned President Putin that invading Ukraine would be a “disastrous step”, as European allies held talks with President Joe Biden and Nato leaders to decide their next step.

Mr Biden is said to be considering whether to send thousands of troops to the region, along with warships and military aircraft – balancing diplomacy with stronger deterrence.
