Ukraine president says no need to ‘panic’ amid fears of Russian invasion

“We don’t need to panic” – the words of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy today, as he appeared to downplay suggestions of an imminent Russian invasion.

His comments came as his Russian counterpart Vladmir Putin warned that the West has ignored Russia’s security demands, in particular that Ukraine should never become a member of Nato.

We spoke to President Zelenskiy in Kyiv.
