Ukraine war: Emmanuel Macron urges Xi Jinping to stop Russia

French president Emmanuel Macron has urged his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping to help stop Russia’s war in Ukraine.

His plea came during a state visit to China alongside European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

The trip has come under intense scrutiny following several years of deteriorating relations between the West and Beijing.
