3mUN chief keen to bring peace in Cyprus
It’s one of Europe’s most protracted disputes. An island divided for more than 40 years. But today the new UN chief has brought together foreign ministers from Greece, Turkey and the UK at talks aimed at bringing peace to Cyprus and reuniting the island at last. Two hundred thousand people were driven from their homes in 1974 many of them settled here.
