UN: Nearly 70% of Gaza killed are women and children

A new report from the United Nations has said that nearly 70 per cent of people killed in the Gaza war have been women and children.

The report from the UN Human Rights Office verified more than eight-thousand fatalities during the first six months of the war.

It said its civilian death figures indicate “a systematic violation of the fundamental principles of international humanitarian law, including distinction and proportionality.”
