UN Regional Coordinator for the crisis Syria: ‘humanitarian diplomacy is failing’

Israel’s Prime Minister said his country delivered “severe blows” to Iranian and Syrian forces a day after carrying out a wave of airstrikes in Syria.

Israel ordered the airstrikes after it intercepted an Iranian drone infiltrating its airspace. It comes amid an increase in violence across the country with millions of civilians trapped with NO food, water or medicine. The UN has called for a ceasefire, saying the organisation is now almost powerless to respond.

We spoke to the UN’s regional humanitarian coordinator for the crisis in Syria, Panos Moumtzis.
