US and Mexico agree trade agreement

While Theresa May seeks new trade deals in Africa, Donald Trump has been showing how to seal a deal in the US with a proposed new agreement with Mexico, a country with which he’s had a very vexed relationship.

The US’s other neighbour, Canada, is currently excluded from the agreement, putting pressure on negotiators there to speed things up. The deal is still in an embryonic state.
