US imposes sanctions on Sudan, accuses RSF of genocide

The US has determined that the Rapid Support Forces who are fighting Sudan’s military in the country’s brutal civil war, have committed massacres and rape that amount to genocide.

The announcement came alongside a raft of sanctions, some personally targeting the RSF leader  Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, known as Hemedti.
