US military chiefs quizzed over Afghanistan withdrawal and final days of Trump

In Washington, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and other top Pentagon officials are testifying at a Senate hearing into the chaotic US withdrawal from Afghanistan.

But some of General Mark Milley’s testimony has focused on his role in the tumultuous final days of the Trump presidency.
