The Ecuadorean government has told Venezuelans trying to enter their country that they can no longer come without a passport. That means ID cards are no longer valid, leaving people stranded at the border.
The move comes a day before the Venezuelan government knocks five zeros off its currency to try to get a grip of the economic crisis.
