Wales ‘stay at home’ rule replaced with ‘stay local’

Wales’s First Minister has said strict “stay at home” restrictions will end tomorrow, being replaced by a “stay local” rule. Mark Drakeford announced it’ll be next month before all shops are able to open, although it’s hoped people in Wales will be able to travel to self-contained holiday accommodation for the Easter holidays.

The latest 24-hour government figures for the UK show a further 175 people are reported to have died with Covid, pushing the UK total further above 125,000. There have been another 6,600 new cases in the UK.
And another 260,000 people received their first dose of the Covid vaccine yesterday. Over 23 million people have now received their first dose of a vaccine.
