Walkie-talkies explode in Lebanon day after pager attack

If the conflict in the Middle East really is entering a new phase as Israel’s Defence Minister claims, then it probably came as no surprise to the people of Lebanon, who today – again – experienced the newfound terror of communications devices blowing up around them.

The latest blasts, this time administered via Hezbollah walkie-talkies, killed at least fourteen and injured hundreds more according to health authorities.
