Warnings of water shortages in England within 25 years

“An existential threat”. That’s how the boss of the Environment Agency described the risks posed by climate change and population growth.

Sir James Bevan warned that unless we all take drastic and urgent action, England could run out of water within 25 years.

He wants wasting water to become as socially unacceptable as “blowing smoke in the face of a baby”.
