We need trillions not billions of dollars to tackle climate change, former Costa Rican president says

Costa Rica, which isn’t in the G20, has pledged to totally decarbonize its economy, generate all of its electricity from renewables by the end of the dacade, and is the first tropical country to have reversed deforestation.

Its former president Carlos Alvarado Quesada was described as the star of COP 26 – we spoke to him.
