Hatred, incitement and the rapid spread of misinformation: it’s all kicking off on X, driven in part by its billionaire owner Elon Musk, who’s depicting himself as a champion of free speech.
And there seems to be no way to control what’s being published.
Today – after the European Union reminded X of its legal obligation to tackle misinformation – in the wake of the UK’s far right riots, Mr Musk responded with a meme quoting the F-word.
So what can be done to combat the rising misinformation on the platform that has occurred post-Southport?
