What do young Russians think about the Ukraine invasion?

In Russia, showing opposition to what the Kremlin calls its ‘special military operation’ in Ukraine can land you in prison for 15 years.

Speaking out is a risky business and we rarely hear how ordinary Russians are feeling and what life is like for them now in the sanctioned country.

In order to find out, we’ve spent time with a Russian student living in London as she speaks with friends back home, and here in the UK –  with their identities protected for their own safety.
