Our home at Channel 4 News is undergoing refurbishment at the moment – all will be revealed very soon. But in the meantime, we are in a temporary studio.

This is a virtual version of our usual set. But you’ll notice some changes.

There are two big screens, so you’ll see both presenters taking on interviews and using what we call the “video wall” for interactive reports.

How long will you be in the virtual studio?

We’re expecting to move back into our refurbished studio next month.

Will the new studio be virtual?

No – the new studio design does not feature virtual elements. It will be brighter, lighter and more interactive. We hope you like it.

What else has changed?

You’ll notice our presenters sharing more of the programme. Some of our viewers told us they want to see the second presenter doing more – so we’re working that into the programme. You’ll also see more helpful indicators of what’s coming up, more regular debates and a pacier opening to the show.

We’ve also updated our Snowmail newsletter, our free daily email from Jon, Krishnan and the team telling you what’s happening in the news – sign up here and tell us what you think

Will Jon’s ties now be virtual?

No. Those colour combinations really exist.
