What’s it like to negotiate with Russia?

Ukraine’s foreign ministry says the collapse of Russia’s ally Syria in the face of an assault from rebel groups shows Moscow cannot fight on two fronts.

But Russia’s foreign minister Sergei Lavrov is still talking tough.

He says he’s open to talks with US President Elect Donald Trump, but will use ‘any means’ to prevent Washington from defeating Russian forces in Ukraine.
